Decide the Contribution Rate of Your Pension Plan
The majority of employers in the Macau market set up Defined Contribution Plan wherein the monthly contribution is usually set as a percentage of the employee's monthly basic salary. The Macau Pension Fund Law does not restrict the contribution rate, no minimum or maximum percentage is imposed.
Employers are free to decide the contribution rate of their pension plans. Contribution rate can be set as a uniform percentage of monthly basic salary for all employees, different percentage based on years of service, or different percentage based on staff category.
